18th October 2015 from 1500Z
As already illustrated in the banner, the "event" in coordination with the US division will take place on the 18th October 2015 from 1500Z in the area of the so-called White Sands Missile Range near Holloman AFB, New Mexico, USA.
As many of you have surely already noticed, at the turn of 2014/2015, some paragraphs of the R&Rs and the SOD Directive have been changed. The Special Ops department was also affected. With these changes, much more missions are now possible. The limits have been increased significantly. The primary goal of this training exercise is to show the participants (SOCs/SOACs, SOGs and all users in the organisation) what is possible in accordance with the currently valid R&Rs and SO Directive (How far can you go. Where are the limits. What is and is not permitted). Due to the fact that there are so many different focuses, we have decided to begin with an air-ground training. With an area of over 8,000 square kilometers, the WSMR is predestined as training location for a wide variety of military operations. We can practice undisturbed every imaginable focus here.
Get ready for exciting and varied training contents in a great location with many other like-minded pilots.

How can I book my slot for a mission: Instructions (Video)
A maximum of 3 slots are allowed for each participant (with a maximum of 1x OCA Strike and 1x Interdiction)
In order to achieve the best possible capacity utilization of the two air-ground shooting ranges (more efficient flow), not all slots have the same EOBT. Unlike certain other air-to-ground exercises (e.g. SEAD) or as with most air-air exercises, this here (Desert Strike) is not a combined air operation. Everybody does his own thing. No one will miss something, even if someone chooses a later slot!
